Coconut oil is incredibly repairing to our hair and this hair ritual is the perfect weekly self-care routine.
What you need + directions
All you need is 1-2 tablespoons (or more, depending on how thick and how long your hair is.) Melt down in a sauce pan or in the microwave until it's more liquid and wait for it to cool until it is just warm but still liquid. Using a brush or your hands, apply the melted coconut oil to your hair, focusing on the ends and working your way up to your scalp.
Put your hair up in a bun and give yourself at least 10 minutes for the coconut oil to do it's thing. I like to do a coconut oil mask while practicing yoga—I just put my hair up in a high bun, then shower after 30-40 minutes and wash my hair as normal with shampoo and conditioner.
Any oil can work here, I just love coconut oil. I also like olive oil or avocado oil.
