From Seed to Full Bloom: A Spring Skincare + Whole Body Wellness Series with Vancouver Wellness Studio

Living in tune with the seasons guides us to a natural state of being in our lives. Taking cues from the earth’s cycles, we reconnect and reimagine our relationship with our bodies and with the world around us. As we shift from winter to spring, we feel an awakening in mind, body, and spirit.
Join us for an intimate three-part wellness + yoga series, led by herbalist Kristen Runvik of Lagom Body Co. and Krystal Meyer, LMT. We’ll explore natural ways of being from the outside in through revitalizing the skin, reawakening the physical body through light stretching, self-massage, and gentle yoga, planting our intentions, and reinvigorating the senses through scent. We will also touch on a plant or two to support the seasonal conversation and to encourage connection with the outside world.
This inspiring, informative yet relaxed, and fun multi-sensory event will lead you through simple but radical ways to support your body and mind’s health this spring.

SEED | Saturday, March 9, 6-8 p.m. | Nourishing. Reflecting. Gentle Reawakening.
Waiting, germinating, gathering nourishment for the journey ahead: that’s the journey of the seed. By reflecting on energy that surrounds the seed, we are able to nourish ourselves and our energy and give space for what’s not yet seen.
During this workshop, we will focus on gently awakening our bodies after a long, dark slumber while considering what we need to ground and prepare ourselves for our return to the light. By embracing stillness, we honor where we are and where we want to go.
You’ll also learn how to gently reawaken both the skin and body using a combination of oil + water after a dry, cold winter. We will be experiencing the Rehydrating collection from Lagom Body Co. to nourish the skin and mind. Think: cooling rose and calming calendula. You’ll leave with a personal intention to guide you forward through the spring.
SPROUT | Saturday, April 27, 6-8 p.m. | Activating. Stretching. Balancing.
As we move from seed to sprout, we transition from stillness to stretching and balancing. During our Sprout event, we will focus on activating, balancing, and stretching our bodies up and outward while weaving our personal intentions into our everyday lives.
Spring is also naturally a time of detoxifying where we yearn for lighter meals and rituals. The earth provides numerous leafy greens and herbs to support our seasonal wellness. We will explore how to support the lymph system in spring through self-massage.
There will be plenty of time for connecting with your body, mind, and creative power through stretching and journaling. We will be experiencing the Balancing Collection from Lagom Body Co. to guide our journey. Think: herbaceous yarrow, soothing lavender… and we might play with a little bit of clay, too.
FULL BLOOM | Saturday, May 18, 6-8 p.m. | Illuminating. Embracing. Vitalizing.
Our third and final installation of our wellness series ends on Full Bloom, just after the full moon. How are you embracing your personal intention? How are you accepting, loving, and living up to what your inner voice wants?
In this final workshop, we will consider how to illuminate from the outside in through joyful, vibrant daily body care practices that invigorate our hearts and our truth so that we can stand tall and delight in our authentic selves. We will ask ourselves how we embrace our wholeness and we will lean into heart-opening poses and practices to show up in full bloom.
We will be experiencing the Illuminating Collection from Lagom Body Co. to brighten and vitalize our daily ritual. Think: neroli, lemon, ylang ylang, and hibiscus.

Kristen Runvik is a vitalist, herbalist, and founder of Lagom Body Co., a natural skin and lifestyle brand to inspire you to turn routine into ritual. Kristen believes that when we tap into the natural cycles around us that we can truly cultivate our most vital and vibrant self. Kristen formally studied clinical western herbalism through the Vital Ways School of Holistic Herbalism in Portland, Oregon and is currently working towards an advanced diploma in organic skincare science. When she’s not formulating new skincare products or leading events, you can find Kristen exploring the many trails and natural spaces of the Pacific Northwest or traveling somewhere new.
