Creating A Vital Skincare Ritual

A few weeks ago, I held a vital skincare ritual event. 12 women showed up to learn more about Lagom Body Co., to connect with other women who care about what they put in and on their bodies, and to slow down in the moment.

It was a bright Sunday afternoon with uncharacteristic blue skies for a Pacific Northwest winter. And as the sun set through the afternoon, we created a mindful ritual as we applied masks, meditated, cleansed + toned, and moisturized our skin and bodies.

No doubt it was a nourishing experience both inside and out.

Through the experience, attendees shared that they felt calm, at peace, grounded in the moment.

They were reminded of how important slowing down is. How taking a moment for yourself every day isn't selfish... it's crucial.

So how do you turn a daily routine that you typically rush through into a vital skincare ritual?

Here's what I learned from the event:

Focus on the moment with intention. Totally experience the plants, the scent, the feel, the application, the color.

Beyond the physical... how does it make you feel? You can take inventory in your mind or take a few moments to journal, too. Maybe use it as a reminder to breatheeeee.

You can approach your skincare ritual this way today.

And as you continue to bring mindful awareness to the ritual, the more you connect with your mind and body in a heartfelt, slow, and meaningful way that creates ripples of calm throughout the rest of your life.
